The Biden of administration has abandoned Haiti, Florida Rep. Maria Salazar said
Florida state representative Maria Salazar represents a big part of the Haitian diaspora in South Florida
"The Biden Administration has abandoned Haiti," Salazar said.
"For months, our Haitian brothers and sisters have watched as migrants from other parts of the world have been allowed a free passage across the border. But when it was their turn for searching for freedom, this Administration trampled the rights to due process of law as they have given to many others who were crossing the border in the last seven months."
Salazar who was born in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, the daughter of Cuban exiles, was also upset about the way the Biden Administration is treating the afro-cubans.
This Administration has not only abandoned Haitians, they have also abandoned the afro-cubans. When afro-cubans we're having their heads scrapped open in the middle of the streets buy Castro thugs secretary Mayorkas said if you take to the Sea we will not let you into the United States.
Here is a quick transcript of what the representative have to say regarding the Haitians and the Cubans and the way they are being treated by the Biden Administration:
Just as the Biden Administration has turned their backs on the vulnerable Haitians, they have shown the same disregard for afro-cubans who remain the most marginalized community in Cuba despite making up 35% of the Cuban population.
Where was the Biden Administration when the afro-cubans were crying for freedom this past summer?
Where was this Administration when our Haitian brothers and sisters we're going through hell to beg for help and refuge at the southern border?
Today I stand here and support the two most beleaguered islands in the Caribbean.
The Biden Administration must treat Haitians with dignity.
Our two countries have very deep bonds. We have over 1 million Haitians in the United States but this year has been a terrible year for the Haitians
First State Historical earthquake, another one... The president was assassinated... the island has been ravaged by rampant corruption and lack of political stability.
Poor Haitians, they are constantly fighting gangsters and thugs who terrorize the poor Haitians who just want to live a decent living.
But despite these unimaginable hardships, Haiti remains an important ally of the United States. They stand against communist China and have recognized our key ally Taiwan.
Haitians and Cubans both deserve a fair process to choose their leaders and their political Destiny but where is the United States when it comes to these two processes?
