Some Haiti Senators complain Gouvenman Lakay Ou Miami was a waste of money
Amongst the senators who complained was Steven Benoit who calls himself a diaspora who spent many years living in New York Although he did not see the reason the government spent that money.
Edmonde Supplice Beauzile also complained. She thinks the gouvenman lakay ou program is a "jwet timoun" (child's play)
President Martelly on the other hands said it the Haitian government spends $50,000 to come and talk to a diaspora who contributes over one billion dollars to Haiti annually, it is a small price to pay.
What do you think about that?

This is the Senator's duty to make sure the tax dollars are well spent, that's why we have elected him, so they are nothing wrong with the Senator s approach to the facts if He felt like this was a show.
Now the constitution gives the guidelines and restrictions how government money shall spend...
True the Diaspora contributed a lot of money to Haiti early.
I agree with them, it is a waste of money for a country whose coffers are empty according to the president himself.
Let us put the name calling and the fanaticism aside and think clearly.
Administratively speaking it is money squandered for nothing and does not have anything to do with the Haitians abroad.
