MINUSTAH Leaving Haiti, Police Chief Michel-Ange Gedeon visits Northern Police Unit

The UN Peacekeeping forces are leaving Northern Haiti for good Thursday June 15. Haiti police chief Michel Ange Gedeon made a quick visit to the city of Cap-Haitien for a tour of the former headquarters of MINUSTAH in Cap-Haitien, now under the control of UDMO, the Departmental Law Enforcement Unit.

"I have come to make sure that the security system is ready to take over from MINUSTAH," police chief Michel Ange Gedeon told local journalists.

The Haitian police force has a huge task ahead to make sure they maintain law and order as MINUSTAH is preparing to leave Haiti for good.

They must succeed...

Failure is NOT an option.

Think about what it takes the MINUSTAH to give security in Haiti.

Examine the tools they use to bring security and start a mini Army inside the PNH. We are not creating an Army in the outside, but in the inside it is an Army. Start by securing the border and the Capital.

Police National Haiti says...

Les forces de maintien de la paix des Nations Unies quittent le nord d'Haiti pour le bon jeudi 15 juin. Le chef de la police, Michel Ange Gedeon, a effectué une visite rapide au Cap-Haitien pour une visite de l'ancien siège de la MINUSTAH, maintenant sous le contrôle de l'UDMO, l'Unité Départementale de Maintien de l'Ordre.

"Je suis venu pour m'assurer que le système de sécurité est prêt à prendre la relève de la MINUSTAH", a déclaré le chef de la police Michel Ange Gedeon aux journalistes locaux.
