Haiti Elections - Hillary Clinton Going To Haiti This Sunday

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is flying to Haiti this Sunday, January 30, 2011, to chat with President Preval and to meet with the Haitian presidential candidates.

Talk to President Preval? About what?

The State Department released a statement saying that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be discussing the elections and Haiti's reconstruction with President Preval.

Who else is Hillary Clinton meeting?

Hillary Clinton will also be meeting with leaders of Haiti's civil society (Societe Civil), the electoral candidates and the special representative of the United Nations to discuss the electoral standoff and the ongoing Haiti reconstruction efforts, according the department's statement.

The State Department says...

"The United States and Haiti share the mutual commitment to building Haiti anew after the devastating earthquake one year ago, and to ensure a strong future for Haiti's people and its democracy"

Question:

What is your opinion about Hillary Clinton's Haiti visit and the 'concerns' of the US State Department?

I believe we are both in a better place with our messages.

Isn't that wonderful?
