Why I get so upset over Haitians complaining about the fees

Gabby - July 22 2011, 11:16 AM

With merit, most americans insult us for the donations they made to our country.

This is what they think of us!!!

probe There is some reason for that?

Hey billyobob, I bet you think elvis is still alive to doncha?

HE who pays the bills calls the shots...

you have a problem with that...

how about $5 billion in aid in the 5 yrs prior to the earthquake and nada to show for it in Haiti..

just lining the Presidents pocket no doubt.

So of course we, The US, will continue to call the shots when the children that pretend to rule Haiti will not.
Someone has to be an adult about it...

Personally, as a taxpayer, I feel the US should write the country off as a failed nation and move on to spending MY tax dollars in my own country.

Sounds like Viet Nam the Gulf Wars all over again.

When will we ever learn our lesson?

When we're broke and can't pay our bills because of all the trillions of dollars thrown at these ill-advised endeavors?

Of course, with Haiti, its somewhat of a different story.

How could anyone turn their back on them in their crisis?

But in this case, our good intentions have only again come back to haunt us. The truth is, without US intervention, Haitian politics would have starved its people by now. In this case, you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

All decent Haitians are thankful for the decades long US help in running their country.

No matter how bad it is today think how much worse it would be if the US allowed Aristide to complete his term of office or restrict imports of food. US banks and agribusiness are the best friends Haiti ever had and they make fortunes providing the help. A true win-win situation.

Haiti will always remain the RESTAVEK state of the US. Puppets in and puppets out. They will collect their crumbs at the the master's table and move on to the US with their prized VISA once they have followed their orders.

Sad situation for once proud people.

All of the so called leaders have prostituted their people for personal gain. Indentured slaves are eventually emancipated.

Haiti will forever remain enslaved.

Slavery takes on a new meaning and is manifested according to the agenda of the day.

mmesoule...

grow up...

haiti and haitians want nothing more than a hand out..not a hand up. You blame the US for your failed country and its failed leadership...

that is the problem..

the country itself refuses to accept its own responsibility in its own actions.

You people are like children, until you grow up and start actualling doing for yourselfs instead of expecting others to do for you nothing will change.

As I stated the so called Haitian leaders have not taken responsibility for their destiny as nation, that's among the reasons for the continuous failure.

Bailouts, soup kitchens, NGOs never solve the problems.

They only have a band aid effect.

Until the so-called leaders have a conscience and take stock of their condition, that's when positive change will take affect.

It's always easy to blame Big Brother, but am not, you are mistaken.

Even as we learn more and more facts about US envolvement in Haiti, both good and bad, the Haitian puppets continue to tell their perverted version of History and events.

Until we Haitians accept the wrongs of the pass and our culpability, we'll never be able to move foward.

Mr Pierre, until Haitians decide they want a hand up and learn and want to do for themselves instead of expecting a hand out and do nada nothing will change in that country.

Haitians blame the US for their woes, but refuse to blame themselves for thier country's internal problems...

Care to explain the story of how the US built a power plant for the city of Port au Prince in the mid 1990's, turned it over to Haiti and within 6 mos the plant had been dismantled for its metal by the Haitians...

who then proceeded to bitch about crappy power again?

OR the story about how haitians cut down a protected forest for its woods then bitched when mudslides happened in the area due ot deforestation.
