This 17 October street protest was like a grand finale and many people were planing to do heavy damage in Petionville in

Translation...
The journalist says if the police allowed the protesters to go to petionville, they would've done a lot of damages; however, there was a group of people in Petionville who were ready to confront them head on. Many would fall.
Senator Don Kato certainly tried to force his way through the police roadblock. Perhaps he dind't know what Guerrier Dieuseul knows...
