Haiti - NO Elections Unless There is an Electoral Law, CEP Tells Martelly in a Letter
The Haiti electoral council (CEP) sent a letter to President Michel martelly Tuesday, 12 August 2014, warning him that there will be no elections in Haiti this coming October unless there is an electoral law, an electoral law which is supposed to be amended and voted by the Senate, yet and still, NADA...
In the letter, CEP officials told president Martelly that in order for them to organize the elections they require a legal tool which the "Loi Electoral" and it must be available five to six months before the election date.
NOTE this... Less than three months to go and still, the Senate seems to be incapableto vote this electoral law and there is a group of 6 Senators who say HELL NO, in a sense, this aint going to happen...
SO now what??? To be or not to be... Elections or No elections???
