Let the Children go to back school, Haiti Education minister told the opposition
The government launched the the opening of school since September 09, 2010. While school is functioning in many provinces in the country, in the capital and many major cities, for more than four weeks, children cannot go to school due to social unrest and the violence that comes with it.
"Many have raised their voices to say give the children a change," Ministre Cadet said. "Today we asking all the actors to assume their responsibilities in regards to the future of Haiti's children by allowing they to return to the classroom."
"Those who can afford it have sent their children to study abroad. It is the the children of the poor in Haiti who cannot go to to school," Ministre Pierre Josue Agenor Cadet added. "instead, they are at home crying to their parents asking whey will they be able to go back to school"
School has been closed in Haiti for about a month since protests started by the opposition seeking the resignation of president Jovenel Moise, a resignation they will not get since the president said it would be irresponsible form him to resign just like that.
