Haitian President Martelly To Participate in NAACP Convention

Haitian president Michel Martelly will be in Orlando Florida July 14-16 to participate in the 2013 convention of The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is an African-American civil rights organization in the United States, formed in 1909. Its mission is "to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination."

President Martelly will also meet Haitians of Central Florida...

President Martelly and first lady Sophia Martelly are expected to arrive in Central Florida on Sunday July 14.

On that day, at 2pm, the first couple will also be meeting with Haitians in the central Florida community, at the Majestic lounge, 801 N. John Young Parkway at 2:00 PM.

If you wish to attend, contact the Consulate of Haiti in Orlando for tickets. Their office is located at 1616 East Colonial Drive in Orlando FL. You must contact them before Wednesday July 10.
