Haiti Elections - Many Political Parties are talking about Primaries, Your opinion...

There are many political parties in Haiti who claim they will hold primaries this year in order to find the best qualified candidates to run for office... This is the first election season in Haiti were this will happen. What do you think about these primaries?

Usually, when it comes to politics and elections in Haiti, a political party belongs to one person and that person is ALWAYS the candidate for president for that political party... Are things suddenly changing in Haiti?

One political party holding primaries is the Organisation du Peuple en Lutte (OPL). They have 4 candidates for the president in their primaries which they say will be held in various locations in the country. The winner of the primary will be the official OPL candidate for president.
