Appointed Haitian Prime Minister Jean Michel Lapin is expected at the Senate Thursday, May 9th 2019 to present his "énoncé de politique générale" (statement of general policy)
Jean Michel Lapin - Haiti Prime Minister
Word in the street is the opposition negotiating with President Jovenel Moise does not want Lapin as Prime Minister but most of these opposing political parties have no representation inside parliament. And parliament is who decides whether a prime ministers stays or goes once appointed by the president.
What is the fate of Jean Michel Lapin? will he be approved by the senate or will he be sent home? Let's wait and see.
