Former DRC Deputy Muanda Nsemi demands political asylum in Haiti
Escaped from prison in May 2017 and on the run ever since, Former Congolese deputy Muanda Nsemi solicited political asylum in Haiti.
According to RezoNodwes, The Bundu Dia Mayala political party, in a letter dated May 2, 2019, addressed to the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Haiti in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to seek political asylum for its leader, Ne Muanda Nsemi.
The request was made asking for a accommodations of Muanda Nsemi at the Haitian Consulate "to ensure its safety after the legal troubles that would weigh on him," Haiti Libre reported.
