Official : Haiti - MINUJUSTH mandate extended until 15 Feb 2019
The United Nations (UN) Security Council has decided to extend the mandate of the United Nations Mission for the Support of Justice in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) for one more year, until 15 February 2019
MINUJUSTH taking over where MINUSTAH left off
MINUJUSTH is the mission that replaces the old peacekeeping stabilization mission MINUSTAH after they left the country.
The Security Council made this decision Tuesday, 10 April 2018. They also plan to bring the mission to an end by 15 October 2019.
Will this happen as planned or will we hear next year that MINUJUSTH mandate will extend yet another year?
What do you think about that?
