Haiti Presidential Elections Round 2 postponed, No New Date

The second round of the haiti presidential elections has been postponed. It was scheduled for January 16. So far, no new date has been set.

Haiti Electoral Concil chairman, Gaillot Dorsainvil, told AFP...

"Any decision by the commission will depend on the evaluation report which the OAS experts draw up..."

"...We have to wait for the results of the OAS mission to set a new date."

CEP's director general Pierre-Louis Opont says...

"We will draw up an election calendar based on the publication of the definitive results from the first round..."

"...Before we have this report, we cannot organize the second round of the elections."

Question:

President Preval is supposed to leave office on 7 February 2011...

What do you think is going to happen.

Listen Guys! the president of haiti already nominated before the election occured- The only problem is, the Government is afraid of the haitian population-if they nonimate that president- that president is Guy Celestin- Believe me, why do you think, they wait so long to say Guy Celestin is the president- is because YAP RANGER CABAN"N YO POU ANPIL DESORDE PA FET NAN PEYI A- beleive me he is going to be the president- that's what Preval wants?

In my view, if the recount of the ballot takes more time than anticipated, and has run over Mr. Preval's allotted time in office, they will either allow the president to remain in office for a longer period; in accordance to some legal decree or they will appoint a provisory government to manage the affairs of the country until they can set up a new election calendar.

However, it is my belief that there will be no new tabulation - if any fraud was committed, this would so well covered, any detection will be virtually impossibe.

We may have to show Preval the exit door, hopefully he will have a suitcase ready to go with him. Enough is enough, February 7th should be Preval's
