Martelly was born from both Haitian parents and therefore he is a Haitian for life based on Dessalines'view about who is Haitian and not based on Duvalierist Louis Eugene Roy, the writer of the Haitian Constipation of 1987. Acquiring other Countries'citizenship cannot strip away one's nationality and the United States reaffirms it based on their released note. Martelly is Haitian for life and a belonger of the Haitian country.
