The Bahamas joins multinational peacekeeping effort in Haiti alongside Kenya adding 150 more people to Kenya's 1000

I am laughing as I write this. I don't know why. The Bahamas has pledged its commitment to the multinational peacekeeing force aimed at restoring security and stability in Haiti. Bahamas joins Kenya's decision to assume leadership of the multinational force and deploy 1000 police to Haiti.

Will a Kenya led multinational force in Haiti bring stability and security to the country

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas recently announced its decision to contribute 150 individuals to support the initiative, pending authorization by the United Nations Security Council.

There's a Haitian saying: "timoun mande gonbo, yo bali l nan pla men l".

Somebody out there is playing a trick on the Republic of Haiti and it is not funny.

So who else is coming onboard?

The Dominican Republic and everyone else who look down on Haitian people and treat their Haitian immigrants like trash?

Has the Bahamas joined any peacekeeping efforts before?

The Bahamas is not widely known for its significant involvement in international peacekeeping efforts.

So the world watches and waits for the United Nations Security Council's authorization of this multinational force. It is MINUSTAH all over again.

Hold tight my fellow Haitians. The rookies are coming to town.

What exactly are these people coming to do that the Haitian military, if reinforced and given the order, together Haitian police cannot do?

The Haitian indigenous Army whooped Napoleon's ass but we are unable to rid ourselves of some thugs?

I find out hard to believe.
