The Official Results Are In... Michel Martelly, President Of Haiti

Haiti Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) published the final results of Haiti presidential and legislative elections, Joseph Michel Martelly is now confirmed as the next President of the Republic of Haiti.

The results were announced yesterday, 20 Apr, 2011, according to AlterPresse.

Michel Martelly received 716,986 votes, or 67.57% of the vote, which is consistent with preliminary data made public last April 4, AlterPresse says.

CNN, in their announcement of the final results, calls Haiti's new president "The bad boy of Haitian music"

Genevalunch.com's headline reads: 'Sweet Micky" declared new Haitian president

You can call him: Mr. President, Son Excellence, Monsieur Le President, Prezidan Miky...
