Many Haitians planning to see the return of the Haitian army in person on November 18th 2017

Many Haitians across the country are planning to go to Cap-Haitien Saturday November 18th, 2017, to see it live, the return of the Haitian army.

"The country needs it," one man said, "there's just no place to train the youth anymore about self respect , discipline and Country."

"I won't be able to go to Cap-Haitien," another man said, "but I surely am going to watch it on TV. It's going to be a good day."

Plateau Central, the center Department of Haiti where these men are from, is a Bastion of former military men. They are so happy that the Haitian Armed Forces are back.

What do you think about that?

Whoever is thinking that way probably doesn't know or doesn't remember that the army made by Toussaint L'ouverture gave us our independence.

The new army, Air Force or Cost Guard will be able to protect our border, stop the planes from other places from spraying our plants with chemical, help with desaster preparedness when we have a hurricane.

I will advise you to start loving your country, earn some respect and dignity from others grow some backbones and stand up for what's right.

Armies are usually formed to protect a country from invasion of foreign forces and for border protection.

I don't see anyone invading Haiti.

Foreign countries have already pretty much raped the country of all its natural resources years ago. The greatest resource Haiti has is its people but foreign countries do not want to invest in Haiti to rebuild it. I'm not sure what the difference will be between the police force and the army. It seems like a duplication of services.
