Caribbean prime minister calls for sanctions against Dominican Republic
On the programme Eye on Dependency, Gonsalves said the region must take "a clear unequivocal stance" adding that as for joining the Caribbean Community (Caricom), the Dominican Republic could forget about it until they reverse the law.
He also called for booting them out of the economic partnership between Cariforum and the European Union. He accused the Dominican Republic of racism adding that "it is fully unacceptable."
Suspend them from PetroCaribe, he said adding that the controversial law is "racist in its nature."
"If you do not take measures to correct it," he said referring to the Dominican Republic, "you will be refused entry into Caricom."

prime minister Gonzalves is totally right.
all countries in the Caribbean must come together to make a fusion to teach the DR government a lesson.
they need isolate the DR. stop doing business with Dominican republic and encourage the rest of the world to do the same. The DR need to reverse its nonsense law and apologize to the Haitian people and to the rest of the world.
The international community should definitely pressure the Dominican government to reverse its racist ruling against Dominicans of Haitian descent.

Yes. At the beginning, the Haitian politicians mishandled the DR's issue.
This is not an issue between Haiti and DR. These people, while Haitians of origin, they are Dominicans.
It must be dealt with internationally since DR has not violated any Haitian laws but international laws, conventions, agreements, rules, and accords.
