"30 years later, the fight is still alive with the only difference that now there is a president and a government who share and want to achieve their aspirations," President Jovenel said.

"This unfortunate and unfortunate event here has enabled millions of Haitians to demand and obtain their right to vote. This right must not be violated, it must be strengthened, " the president said.

President Jovenel mention the fact that 30 years later, Haiti still has a provisional electoral council." I have just undertaken to set up the first Permanent Electoral Council, according to the prescriptions of the Constitution," he said.

President Jovenel also mention that, unlike the submissive and politicized army responsible for what happened on November 29, 1987, the new Haitian Armed Forces that have just been re-established will be an instrument for the development and protection of the Haitian nation.
