This is not the first, nor the last time, a portion of a road has been rebuild in Haiti.

The natif natals approach has always been lack of maintenance.

The concept of maintenance does not exist in the thinking of the natif natal Haitian.

It is use, abuse and overuse regarding everything.

How long will this portion of road remain pristine and in usable condition?

There are no weight limits on the vehicles using the road. Any hint of basic draining if totally inexistent or simply a dangerous open ditch on the sides ofthe road. That in a country where rain and flood are prevalent.

There are no shoulders on the road to facilitate broken down vehicles.

There are no toll collection to sustain the viability and maintenance of the road. There are no enforcement of traffic rules.

There are no facilities for the comfort of travelers, such as rest areas.

There is no security for travelers along the road. The road is jet black at night.

No lighting whatsoever.

Domestic loose animals routinely stray into traffic, creating a dangerous situation.

It is a typical piece of natif natal Haitian type of road. Nothing to get excited about.
