Man, this is so distorted; To become the president of Haiti is notoriously the aspiration of the poor. i.e. Francois Duvalier, Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
Rene Preval was an exception, he was a member of the middle-class when he became president.
To own property to become president does not mean much. One can own a hut and still passed that test.
I wished the constitution had more stringent rules to be Head of State.
Like good personal character, moral obligations, forced community work just to cite a few....
