Question: Can Haitian President Jovenel Moise Deliver on His Promises?

President Jovenel Moise promised electricity 24/7, he promised to revamp agriculture in Haiti, he promised thousands of kilometers of paved roads before his term ends. Can the president deliver on all his promises?

There is a famous quote that derives from the book of Proverbs that says:

"Judge a man by his actions not his words. He can promise you the world, but if nothing materializes from his promises he's just talking."

Some people may tell you President Jovenel Moise is just talking while others may prove to you that his promises are already materializing.

Me, personally, I have to admit that while the city of Hinche Haiti has yet to feel the the effect of the Caravan of Change (karavan chanjman) that president Jovenel is talking about in terms of kilometers of paved roads, every citizen in Hinche will admit that we've have many more hours of electricity per day than we've had before since Jovenel came to power.

Is that enough to say he is a good president? This question is relative.

While I am fighting with the Ministry of Public Works -- Travaux Publics - TPTC -- to pave my neighborhood and they refuse telling me constantly it's not in the plan, many people in Hinche will admit that there are some streets are being being worked on nonetheless.

Just because my street is not paved yet, am I to say that nothing is being done in Hinche in terms of public works?

I would be wrong.

I hope President Jovenel and everyone around him read this...

We all know what this country desperately needs. We all know what these desperate people want. To make Haiti better requires a team of leaders and public servants that can operate like a symphony orchestra.

Let me say it again.

To make Haiti better requires a team of leaders and public servants that can operate like a symphony orchestra.

Quit being selfish.

Play your part.

President Jovenel can do better if he wants to. But he will need a great team of public servants; and they will have to sing a symphony for Haiti.

promes se moun san lespri selman pou kwè.

Tout otan yon Prezidan paka regularize salaire ouvriye, leta kou prive, li pa kanpe sou anyen.

You said it...

Haiti needs a team of leaders.

A team of leaders to :
1) Create jobs
2) Slow down the overpopulation explosion
3) Tackle the Environment thru additional Agroforestry space at the national level.

For that, again as you said, you need a team of leaders, more than the current smart Harvard graduate looking boys from the National
