New Office Of The Haitian Diaspora Inaugurated In Miami

The city of Miami has established itself as the HUB of the Haitian Diaspora in the United States. Over the weekend, Haiti president Michel Martelly received NOT ONLY the key to city of Miami from mayor Mayor Tomas Pedro Regalado BUT the actually key to this new office of the Diaspora...

Watch the video...

Listen to The rest of speech here, but first...

Mayor Regalado says...

"With this president and his staff, we have been working to have an office of the Diaspora in the city of Miami in the Little Haiti area...

It is my honor to tell you that... as your assistant city to Port-au-Prince, we will work with you, we will be the HUB of the Haitian Diaspora in the United States."

My opinion...

This is definitely a great initiative in my opinion and I hope that this new office can establish a network of satellite offices in all the other Haitian communities in the Diaspora.

This would be a perfect way for all Haitians in these various communities to stay connected and have ONE voice both in the United States and in Haiti.

What do you think about this initiative?

Woody, this exactely what we need to do, try to stay connected and be able to raise our voice, otherewise we will never stop taking bull crap from our so call haitian politician in haiti.

Worst of it, the most foreign involve in the game are happy with their nonsense and ridiculous behavior, that is the way they can buy our pride in the diaspora from them, as long one or few of them can become suddenly rich, they have no problem selling our pride.

A new office = a new way to waste the government money. Why not modernizing our consulates and embassies, eliminate the ministere des haitiens vivant a l'etranger let the affaires etrangeres take care of those politics and diplomacy.

We don't need ministere de l'environnement because it's a big joke let the ministere de l'agriculture take over and environnement department can simply be a part of it.We will be able to cut all the unecessary spendings and government waste and of course we will have a surplus in our national
