Moise Jean Charles predicts there will be famine in Haiti very soon

Haitian political opposition leader Moise Jean Charles has predicted that bad times are coming to Haiti. "There will be famine in Haiti very soon," he said.

"I can already see that the problems will soon get worse," Moise Jean Charles said.

"You can already forecast hunger in Haiti soon?" the journalist asked him.

"Yes I can already see it coming," he replied. "What saved us so far is because we are in mango season, because it is breadfruit season (lam veritab) and we have black eyed peas (he called it pwa nèg as it is called in Northern Haiti where he is from) in some of the communal sections."

"When these things are over, do you know that will happen? There will be a true famine in Haiti." he said.
