Haiti FREE education, where is the money coming from?

Yesterday I was listening to a speech by president Michel Martelly and he explains where he plan to collect an average of $8.5 million each month for FREE education in Haiti.

President Martelly says he will take one dollar out of every money transfer coming into Haiti and use it towards free education.

The president will also tax incoming calls to Haiti; I think it will be between 25 to 35 cents per call.

Together, he says, about $8.5 million will be collected monthly from these two sources to pay primary school teachers and provide free education in Haiti.

Question:

What do you think?

Are you willing to pay a few cents per call OR a dollar per money transfer in exchange for free education for Haiti's school children?

Actually, I would give as much as I can, as often as I can. Not just when I am making a money transfer.

All I need is for the Martelly administration to create a website where we can go a see how much money is collected on a daily basis, and when a withdrawal is made, I want the announcement made public on national television.

I want to see evidence of everything that the money is used

The Micky administration can provide free education by doing the following: 1. (TAXATION) Corprate tax, income tax, and property tax.If you work, own property, do business in the country; you must pay your share of taxes.

2. (GAMBLING)Organize and control the gambling industry.

Shut down all "bolette" shops.

As long as the money goes for the schools and not in the pokets of the peoples in the goverment If this is the only way He can find the money to give an education to the Haitians it is fine with me
I like President Martelly I give him the benefit of the doubt.

I hope He does not let me down.

All I wish President Martelly to do for Haiti are school, hospital, and to stop slavery.

Se pa moun kap travay yo rele servante yo non ti moun ki rete lakay moun kap pase mize yo. Se pou gin yon lwa depi yon moun we yon vwazinaj oubyen yon zanmi ap fe yon ti moun pase mize swe pou yo rele leta pou moun nan pou jije tankou yon criminel.

that is my hope for

I think it is a good idea. I do not think given a dollar and few cents is so terribly bad if the money honestly for the purpose of educating the children.

I also believe it is an easy way to give back to mother land. Do you remember the famous President Keneky's qote "Don't ask what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country." All haitians who have received good education some of them up to Philo and go on to France Sorbone, all those doctors, engineers More importantly those who have pillaged the treasors of the country during Magloire regime especially and the worst of all the Duvaliers most give back to the Mother land not only for the education of our children but the repairing the country that is destroyed by the earth

It is about time that we have a president that is really thinking of the progress of the country thru education first and foremost.

I am for it hundred percent if there is acoountability in all his endeavors.

I will gladly participate in everything which pertains to the elevation of our country and the people.

Anyway that shows the president is a thinker, at least he is a little bit realistic than the presidents before him, although I am not a fan of him.The president has to be realistic also on how the men in Haiti are corrupted, which technology that will be in place to track that money? If not, we are going to assist the creation of more millionaire in the city of P-au-P.Will the president create a web site to explain the actions of the governmen?Remember people always like to see what their money is
