Haiti Elections - Charlito Baker favors the application of Article 289 of the constitution

When it comes to elections in Haiti, former Haiti Presidential candidate Charles Henri (Charlito) Baker, Leader of political party Respè, says that another round of discussion is useless and insists that Article 289 of the constitution be applied to form a provisional electoral council (CEP)

According to Haiti Radio Metropole, Baker thinks this act would solve most of the problems in setting up the elections, it would be a guarantee of independence for the institution.

Didn't Charlito Baker sign the El Rancho Accord?

What do you think about that?

Han Nohen says...

Haitian people stop concentrating on people instead of what we can do to better our the country.Stop arising the people like a bunch of ignorant goats unable do differentiate right from wrong what's help them or no.A former president does not have the momentum to move the country no where.

Whatever the constitution provide should not be removed from a former president. The former president should prove his loyalty to the country by respecting and cooperating with its established institutions and discouraged any uprising that will worsen the country welfare.
