Haiti - Depute Price Cyprien withdraws candidacy for president of the Chamber of Deputes

Haitian Deputy Price Cyprien (PHTK, Thomazeau) who was also a candidate for president of the Chamber of deputies withdrew his candidacy Tuesday after the deputies supporting the candidacy of Gary Bodeau demanded an acclamation of they candidate.

Right after the candidacy of Gary Bodeau was announced, a group of deputes went on the podium with him to show support and to let it be known that already had 71 deputies were already ready to vote for him to retake the office of president. One of them said "Let us not waste time tonight, let us simply do an acclamation"

Depute Price Cyprien who qualified this move as a "démagogie" decided to withdraw his candidacy leaving Gary Bodeau as the only candidate.
