BREAKING NEWS - Although the official Results of Haiti Elections 2010 are set to be announced at 5:00 PM, Haiti time, today the Miami Herald has just announced that 'Sweet Micky' Martelly reportedly wins the Haiti presidential election...

Jacqueline Charles of the Miami Herald reports...

Michel "Sweet Micky'' Martelly, 50, has received more than the required 50 percent plus one of the vote required to beat longtime opposition leader and former first lady Mirlande Manigat to win Haiti's first presidential runoff election in a quarter century.

Martelly reportedly won the election by a 3-1 margin.

The preliminary results of Haiti's March 20 elections were transmitted at 8 a.m. Monday to the executive director of the Provisional Electoral Council, whose members triggered momentary panic Sunday evening when they unexpectedly showed up at the vote tabulation center where tally sheets were undergoing a final scrutiny for fraud.

Well, this is it! I knew Martelly would be president even though Mirlande Manigat had studied in well-known universities, but I was not convinced that she would be president of my dear Haiti .Now, what my president his exc. Mr. Michel Martelly can do for her to show her proof of unity is to invite her to be one of his administration members if she wants to because I remember when she won the senate seat she didn't accept it at all, not only because her husband told her not to, but also she'd held grudges.
