Dear Patrick:

If you are Haitian then your ancestors fought for and obtained THEIR freedom.

That freedom eventually translated into the independence of this new country in 1804: HAITI.

Period.

"We" took!

Dude, you and contemporary Haitians took nothing.

You are literally on 'woulib' on your ancestors' wagon when you use this "we" pronoun.

Stop desecrating the spirit of those brave slaves of yesteryears.

Be proud of your ancestors.

However, in your euphory, do not confuse pride with hubris.

You are only fooling yourself and a few others like you. Stop it!
