Abject poverty which leads to systematic institutionalized corruption, low education the lack of Unity, civic coupled with the colonial legacy of the color complex are the causes of this mental anesthesia.

The other day, I inadvertently met a very educated white American in a store, a conversation ensued during which he told me that most Haitian newspapers and radio stations are working in tandem with the CIA. He says that those guys met once a year at least in a meeting and discusses the guideline of what to say and what not to say. He pointed out that the ethnic newspapers and radios such as SCA radios are notorious.
