At Damebochie, Baker does not give you any reasons to think that he can NOT relate to the Haitian masses.

He relates very well with them and he relates with them all over Haiti.

There is no reason to think that Baker can't relate to the masses because of skin color.

On the other Manigat does not do hands on campaigning as welll as Baker does. Perhaps she thinks that she is a woman and she is a woman from the Bourgeoisie, she does not have to dirty her hands in everyday campaigning.
