Haiti Elections Update -- 50+ candidates for President in Haiti are about to receive $1,800,000.00 gourdes each from the government to help fund their campaign starting Tuesday says Jean Fritz Jean Louis, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for electoral matters... To some candidates, this is their LOTTERY TICKET!!!

Saturday on Haiti radio Signal FM, one journalist reporting the news said this money is just about enough to erect a few billboards in Delmas, another journalist replied: "We're talking about MILLION (on parle de million), even if it was one million rocks, Some people have never seen a million before!"

"Gen moun ki pa p menm kole yon photo!" (Some of them wont even stick a poster on a wall), journalist Tamara Orion said.
