According to the opposition, The president's term is set to expire on his fourth year in office, on February 7th 2021.

But wait a minute! Isn't the the Haitian president's term 5 years?

Yes it is. But ask the Haitian politicians who opposed president Jovenel Moise and they will tell you that the time that Interim President Jocelerme Pribert spent in office was part of the 5-year mandate of presidential Jovenel who happened to swear in on February 7th 2017 in a do-over second election that was held since the first one was null and void.

These politicians are arguing that since the president was supposed to swear in after the first election, hos term will expire regardless on year number five of the first time he was supposed to be elected, if that makes any sense to you.
