Haiti Politics - Fanmi Lavalas, MOPOD, Fusion, and INITE want to go to Elections BUT...
A new statement has just been released to the Haitian Media signed by many opposition leaders who express concern over the "maneuvers" that the Executive branch is doing to interfere with the Haiti electoral process...
The note was signed by Jonas Coffy (Ayisyen Pou Ayiti), Joel Vorbe (Fanmi Lavalas), Rosemond Pradel (Fusion), Levaillant Louis Jeune (INITE), Rudolph Prudent (Kontra Pèp La) and Jean André Victor (MOPOD).
There's lots of French (anpil Francais) in the note but it narrows down to this... These political parties and organizations announced that they want to participate in the upcoming elections BUT they want to do so with a different Electoral Council... AND they will not accept any other terms...
You can read the note here and tell me if I am wrong.
Why do I get the feeling that no matter what happens in this election, it will be contested?
What do you think about this?
