How a Haitian Prime Minister is Chosen

Under the amended constitution of Haiti, parliament does not ratify the choice of prime minister, the prime minister is chosen by the president.

The prime minister will have to come before parliament with his cabinet to present his "politique général".

If the prime minister's general policy statement receives a vote of no confidence in one of two rooms of parliament, the procedure will begin again.
