FLASH: Haiti Elections - President Privert wants to create Verification Commission

Haiti Elections Update -- Interim president Jocelerme Privert make it clear, he want to put in place an independent verification commission to evaluate what really happened in the 2015 elections.

President Privert told the media, putting this commission in place is not an invention out of thin air, it is deeply rooted inside the accord he signed with president Michel Martelly.

The application of the recommendations of the presidential election commission which the accord mentioned spoke of the need for a more rigorous check of the elections results, Privert said.

More than that, Privert said, all the political actors he met with over the past few weeks unanimously demand the creation of a verification commission to validate the process.

In short... Privert will create the commission although many say it is not a part of the accord
