About Aristide's Return - What Michel Martelly and Mirlande Manigat Said

In case you are wondering what Haiti presidential candidates Michel Martelly and Mirlande Manigat think about ex-president Jean Bertrand Aristide returning to Haiti BEFORE the election... We have an official statement from both candidates...

According to an article just released by the Associated Press, both Haiti presidential candidates are unfazed by Aristide's return... BUT... Their answer may lead to conclusions...

Keep on reading and you'll understand what I mean!

Michel Martelly says...

"He [Aristide] is welcome to come back like Jean-Claude Duvalier did... I hope his return doesn't create instability for the elections."

AP went on to mention that candidate Michel Martelly told reporters that he did not think Aristide would influence the vote; however, he would prefer that Aristide wait "two or three days" before coming back to Haiti.

I guess he means "two or three days" AFTER the election...

Mirlande Manigat, on the other hand, says...

"President Aristide is welcome to come back and help ME with education..."

KEYWORD: "Help ME... with education..."

Hmmm...

Mirlande Manigat seems to already see Aristide's return to Haiti as a POSITIVE for her presidency.... At least, this is what I am reading from her statement...

If this sound bite gets out into the Haitian media, it may send a message to Aristide supporters that Mirlande Manigat SUPPORTS Aristide's return... ALSO... that she will team up with him on the 'dossier' of education...

Could that one statement swing the election her way?

How big is LAVALAS in Haiti?

I'm just saying...

Am I making sense to you?

I am not a politician but I have a feeling Manigat just bought herself some new votes from the LAVALAS camp... assuming the Haitian media picks this up...

Right?... No?... What do you think?...

This is what we Haitian produce during all the time. I am ashamed of myself to see Michel president in Haiti.

After Jean C Duvalier left the beautiful country, the Hatian government did not progress whatsoever.

Then we have the return of Duvalier, people received him with an open hand. Aristid did not wait to long to return in Haiti as well, again people welcome him also. My understanding what Aristid did for the country "nothing" he left with 700 million US dollars during his moment of his presidency.

This is a very well orchestraded ploy by Preval for Manigat to win the popular vote, but if Aristide thinks he is going to get away with the same games of hatred that he played before, he is mistaken.

The U.S. is going to wait after the election since they want Manigat to win anyway and after that, dont be surprise when the D.E.A. steps in and take Aristide in custody, because there is still a warrant for his arrest, he was implicated since the trial of KETAN in florida, this is not going to turn out the way Preval or Aristide

Ohh Yeah we need education but guess we are not ready yet for that kind of education that Mirlande is promoting right there.

Because we gonna have to start from the bottom and she ain't gonna start from the bottom because at the very bottom that is where all the problems are. Are we gonna send the kids to school with no food. How we gonna get that food to the house if there is no agriculture.

The people that are behing Manigat think they are so moral and educated.

But Mirlande may have just lost the presidency in inviting Aristide to help her with her education reforms.

Now, on the surface there is nothing wrong with it, but this is politics and there is nothing normal about

ARISTIDE IS A SMART AND INTELLIGENT HAITIAN AND HE MESSED UP AT TIMES BUT HE KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO AND WHAT TIME IS CORRECT FOR HIS RETURN..

HE DIDNT MAKE A PRESS CONFERENCE TO SAY HE COMING B4 THE ELECTION(MARCH 20)?
