Things needed:
A name for your organization
Register the name in Albany
Have your first meetings
Discuss by-laws of your organization
Number of key people with full name and their titles
Legal address of the Organization
Develop a plan on how business will be conducted
A business plan for the organization
a 501(c)3 status of which you should apply for before taking money from anyone or otherwise the organization would become illegal
A shortcut before obtaining the 501(c)3 status is to find an organization that has already one, usually a church or any other respected organization to receive the money on your behalf up to until you received your own status.
