1- According to Martelly's cousin, Marie Claire Martelly who currently residing in the USA, Michael Martelly has been a naturalised American citizen since 1981.

2- Michel Martelly aka Michael Martelly was incarcerated at lest twice in the United States.

3- There is a recurring history of Domestic violence with his first wife Yanick Dorcean who is currently residing in the USA.

4- Martelly has some financial interest in Global Voice [ This is a tell tale of corruption]
