On the topic of Haiti - Duvalier Will Go To Trial BUT Not For What You Would Expect, This is not really bad news for Haiti.

Something had to be done against the Duvaliers, if at least to save face and to validate the pains and the sufferings of those victimized during that era. Corruption is the lesser charge...After all corruption could have been done without Jean Claude taking any part of it. It could have been his entourage; Therefore making the charges not his doing.

Since J.C. was the President, the charges could even be dropped to a mere "negligence", hence, he might get out with minimal punishment, if any at all.
The next question is: How will Aristide, Preval and company be handled?

Will it be more of the same?

Or will it be real trials with real issues?

I will not hold my breath.
