The U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince Haiti and Secretary of State Antony Blinken commend the Government of Kenya for its leadership role in responding to Haiti's plea for assistance. They call on Haitian stakeholders to unite in restoring democratic order and stability to the nation.

For some time now the US and Canada have been looking for someone to take the lead in some form of peacekeeping intervention in Haiti. They surely don't want to take the blame when things go wrong. I guess they found one.
