UN Security Council thinking about sending a Non-UN peacekeeping force to Haiti. How will that make Haiti safer?
Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General, holding a press conference in Port-au-Prince Haiti
Between 1986 fall of the duvalier regime and 2023, that's most of my life my country has been stuck in neutral. The puppet masters are all dancing around Haiti in the musical chair fashion except there are no chairs.
Did you know that BINUH will remain in Haiti for another year?
Haiti Security - BINUH's mandate was renewed for another year until 15 July 2024.
MUNUSTAH failed.
I don't even remember what MINUJUSTH was all about.
President Jovenel Moise was assassinated right under the nose of BINUH. Now they are trying to come up with the next big plan.
Me personally, I vote for a super sized BWA KALE.
What does it mean: A non-UN peacekeeping Force?
Hmmmm... Have you ever watched an entire movie and you ask yourself what the hell did I just watch?
I try not to act like an expert on things that I have no clue about LOL...
Here's what I read on Wikipedia.
Non-UN peacekeeping forces include the NATO mission in Kosovo (with United Nations authorization) and the Multinational Force and Observers on the Sinai Peninsula or the ones organised by the European Union (like EUFOR RCA, with UN authorisation) and the African Union (like the African Union Mission in Sudan).
So I leave it up to you to research these non UN missions and how they succeeded in their respective earthly locations.
Also, perhaps compare the situation in those countries to what has currently became a gangrene in Haiti.
