The new Haitian Army will NOT be involved in Politics

The Haitian Armed Forces - Les Forces Armées d'Haiti

If you know Haiti well, then you know most people in this country tend to see the glass half empty.

Many Haitian citizens, especially the older generation, recalls an army that was involved in overthrowing presidents and army generals becoming president. but President Jovenel says that's not going to happen.

This new Haitian army will focus on 3 key sectors, the president said:

1) Military engineers to help build roads, bridges, and reforestation.

2) Military doctors to assist die ministry of health during epidemics and health issues.

3) Military pilots and aircraft mechanics; young Haitian military men who will train to pilot airplanes and helicopters; others who will train to fix them.
