Haiti's electoral council (CEP) has announced that it will extend the registration process for potential candidates and political parties to participate in the upcoming Haiti elections until 12 July 2014 in order to allow more candidates to participate and allow more political parties to register...

Recently one of the political leaders in Haiti complained that the CEP did not give enough time for people to register... I guess they listened... LOL...

Keep in mind that the elections are scheduled for the end of the year. While Haiti's executive branch is trying to make it happen, some senators and other branches of government seem to be creating roadblocks to prevent it from happening.

The Senate of the Republic of Haiti has finally confirmed Néhémie Joseph to represent Parliament in the new provisoinal electoral council (CEP)... So I guess that means Leopold Berlanger can finally get to work and the CEP will be at full speed with nine (9) members... I guess... Right?
