Haiti Elections Update -- There is a big discussion out there that a few members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) do not have DECHARGE as required by the Constitution; however, these CEP members are about to seriously shorten the list of Presidential Candidates on the basis of DECHARGE... This is slowly becoming the talk of the town...

Journalist Gary Pierre Paul Charles brought to the attention of his audience on his radio program Haiti Debat on Radio Scoop FM an article on the Haitian Constitution that clearly states that a member of the CEP must have DECHARGE, BUT... The CEP he was referring to is the PERMANENT Electoral council, not the Provisional Electoral Council.

The electoral process starts Monday 16 Mar 2015 with the evaluations and validations of the BEDs and BECs (Departmental and Communal elections bureaus) by the Electoral council (CEP). On that same day, Haitian political parties are to begin registering with the CEP a process that will take 5 days.

Rothchild Francis Junior invited various sectors of national life to engage in the electoral process which, he said, finally launched the final schedule and the upcoming release of the presidential decree that will invite the people "en ses comices". Fancy French for: invite the people to come out and vote... LOL...

In a symbolic gesture Haiti Prime Minister Evans Paul hand delivers the new Electoral decree law to the Electoral Council (CEP) and another decree allowing Haitian voters with expired National ID Cards to vote in the upcoming elections.
