Some people in Haiti and the diaspora believe the rise of gang violence in recent days is manufactured in order to justify a military intervention in the country.
Haiti's gangs are more powerful than government (WLRN)
It is no secret that Haitian prime minister Ariel Henry and his supporters are in favor of military intervention.
Recently, The United Nations began this talk about sending a non-un peacekeeping force in Haiti. All of a sudden gang violence spread out in the Haitian capital and in parts of the Artibonite Department.
Suddenly People are dying everywhere, gunshots everywhere, people running to the US Embassy, personal property is being burned by gang members.
Some people think it's those who control these gangs who are telling them to go out there and create chaos to justify an intervention.
What do you think?
Do you believe in this conspiracy theory or do you think it is something else?
