During an interview live on haiti radio Caraibes FM, The OPL candidate for president Sauveur Pierre Etienne who is also a member of the G8 told the journalist the CEP sent them an email late Monday night to say they are SORRY!!!

According to Sauveur Pierre Etienne, the email said the CEP does not have the authority under the electoral decree law to decide on the creation of an independent council, as requested by the G8, in order to double check election results. Such a decision would have to be made by the National electoral litigation bureau (BECN)

Since NONE of these candidates contested legally... The CEP basically told them to go to hell... So to speak!
