Haiti National Police Chief Leon Charles has submitted his resignation this thursday, October 21, 2021.

One day before, opposition leader Andre Michel made it clear to prime minister Ariel Henry that he would take to the streets if Chief of Police Leon Charles did not resign by November 1st.

Andre Michel threatens to take to the streets if PM Ariel Henry does not fire police chief by November 1st

Was the pressure being given by the prime minister of the reason Leon Charles resigned or was he heading out the door anyways?

Police commissioner Frantz Elbe replaces Leon Charles as Chief of Police.

God Almighty!!! Andre Michel is going to brag everywhere telling people he fired Leon Charles.
