USA - Rodolphe Jaar Sentenced to Life in Prison for Assassination of Haiti's President Jovenel Moise

Haitian businessman Rodolphe Jaar was the first to receive a sentence in Florida USA for his involvement in the assassination of Haitian president Jovenel Moise. Rodolphe Jaar will spend the rest of this life behind bars.

Rodolphe Jaar, confessed to having helped finance and plan the plot to assassinate Haiti President Jovenel Moise

This maximum sentence was handed down to him by a judge in Miami, the first sentence of many handed down in what the authorities say was a sprawling plot, the New York Times reports.

While the United States, where the assassination plot was concocted, is the first to convict a suspect linked to the assassination, in Haiti still there's no justice for president Jovenel Moise.

People in Haiti are still wondering whether or not anyone will be tried and convicted for the assassination of yet another Haitian president.
